We were extremely proud to have won the “Care Business of the Year - Below 50 Employees” award, as bestowed to us by the prestigious HCPA.

To have been recognised for our excellence in care and as a business organisation is a wonderful achievement for all at Burleigh House.

There are over 2000 care homes and care organisations in Hertfordshire and to be known as “the best” is particularly rewarding.

This is a testament to all of our Staff and Residents and we hope to continue meeting the high expectations we set for ourselves in the future.

  • June 2009 – Nomination for Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Award

We are very proud to announce our recent nomination for the inaugural Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Herts. “Small Businesses Awards.”

The FSB recognised our strong and continued commitment towards the training and development of our staff and shortlisted us for an award within their Staff Training and Development award category.

In particular they were impressed with our dedication in ensuring that all staff members are not only trained to the National Minimum standards required within the care sector, but that we offer both our care and non-care staff training for industry specific qualifications and a comprehensive personal development plan.

This also included the unique and specialist training our staff have undertaken for the care of dementia residents in particular, namely through the home’s created Montessori-based and Spaced Retrieval therapies.

All of which help us in achieving our main goal, that of providing the highest level of care to our residents.
